I\u2019m Adrian. I find new software daunting and it\u2019s time-consuming to learn it and get set up. So over the next five videos, we\u2019ll walk you through setting up your tawk.to dashboard and get you ready to respond to an incoming chat. Follow me!<\/p><p>So, in the first video, we\u2019ll walk you through how to set up your tawk.to dashboard. Step one is to sign up for a Free Account, and you can do that by visiting the tawk.to website and just signing up there. Once you\u2019ve signed up and logged in to your tawk.to account, head to the lower-left corner to the icon over here and click on that. I\u2019ll walk you through and explain every one of these menu options.<\/p><p>So, the first one is where you can set your status and there are three options you have on here. You have \u2018Online.\u2019 So if you\u2019re logged in to tawk.to, it will set you as online naturally as the default. And that means you\u2019re available to respond to chats. In the \u2018Away\u2019 status, visitors are notified that you may or may not be available to respond to chats. But just keep in mind if you have multiple people associated with a property with a chat widget, even if you set your status to away but other people are set as online, the widget will still show as online. Everyone would need to set their status to Away for the widget to change to away. The \u2018Invisible\u2019 option sets your status to offline, but still allows you to navigate the dashboard and look at other incoming chats without notifying visitors that you are available to respond to chats.<\/p><p>Our next option is \u2018Accept chats from.\u2019 So with tawk.to you could be associated with multiple widgets. We call them properties. So you can be associated across multiple businesses, you could have multiple widgets across different websites, and each of those widgets we can create a property for. So here are the properties I\u2019m associated with and if I didn\u2019t want to respond on behalf of one of them, then I simply just set my status to offline.<\/p><p>So, when you\u2019re invited to a new property, you receive an email, but you also receive a notification in the lower-left corner. Simply click on this. It says: \u201cYou have been invited to join Dashboard Demo \u2026\u201d You can either accept or reject it. And now, let\u2019s just refresh our dashboard, and you\u2019ll see we now have Dashboard Demo over here and these are all the other properties that you can access the settings for from this menu here.<\/p><p>As we keep working our way down the menu, I\u2019m going to come back to \u2018Edit Profile.\u2019 As you can see, this little section is all about \u2018Desktop and sound notifications\u2019 and you can simply activate\/deactivate desktop or sound notifications from this menu quite quickly. But if you want more options, just click the menu item and you can change your desktop and sound notifications and ring tones and how long, etc. \u2014 all from within here.<\/p><p>The next option which is relevant is \u2018Help.\u2019 So if you need help, you can start the chat with our team directly here, and you\u2019ve got access to the Help Center, our Knowledge Base, from this menu, and you can change the widget language from this menu item as well. And to log out, either simply close the browser or click the \u2018Logout\u2019 option.<\/p><p>In the \u2018Edit Profile\u2019 is where you can edit your account settings. Now, the first question is, about your name. Now, the name on the account is not the name that you have to respond to chats with?\u201d I\u2019ll show you. You can set up \u2018Aliases\u2019 or \u2018Avatars\u2019 that you can respond to chats with.<\/p><p>So, let\u2019s put my full name in here. Click \u2018Save\u2019. Here you can edit your email, or your position title. This weekly roundup gives you the statistics for the properties you\u2019re associated with. Here\u2019s where you edit your password and you can add an image to your account. Now, you can select from the avatars or you can upload your own image. Let\u2019s upload our photo. There we go \u2014 that looks lovely! Don\u2019t forget to click \u2018Save\u2019 and make sure it\u2019s compliant with the requirements at the top here. Done!<\/p><p>The second option down is \u2018Aliases,\u2019 so when I respond to a chat, I\u2019ve got all these options and I believe you can set up up to 20 different aliases. So my default is set as Adrian with this image and I haven\u2019t put a position title, but you\u2019ll see I have all these options available to me. So I can respond as Stephanie from Sales with this avatar and I could set that as the default status. So that means naturally when I go to answer a chat, Stephanie will be the first option available to me.<\/p><p>Now, in the subsequent videos, I\u2019m going to talk about shortcuts in its own video and I\u2019m going to discuss your profile page as well. I\u2019m Adrian. I find new software daunting and it\u2019s time-consuming to learn it and get set up. So over the next five videos, we\u2019ll walk you through setting up your tawk.to dashboard and get you ready to respond to an incoming chat. Follow me!<br \/><br \/>So, in the first video, we\u2019ll walk you through how to set up your tawk.to dashboard. Step one is to sign up for a Free Account, and you can do that by visiting the tawk.to website and just signing up there. Once you\u2019ve signed up and logged in to your tawk.to account, head to the lower-left corner to the icon over here and click on that. I\u2019ll walk you through and explain every one of these menu options.<br \/><br \/>So, the first one is where you can set your status and there are three options you have on here. You have \u2018Online.\u2019 So if you\u2019re logged in to tawk.to, it will set you as online naturally as the default. And that means you\u2019re available to respond to chats. In the \u2018Away\u2019 status, visitors are notified that you may or may not be available to respond to chats. But just keep in mind if you have multiple people associated with a property with a chat widget, even if you set your status to away but other people are set as online, the widget will still show as online. Everyone would need to set their status to Away for the widget to change to away. The \u2018Invisible\u2019 option sets your status to offline, but still allows you to navigate the dashboard and look at other incoming chats without notifying visitors that you are available to respond to chats.<br \/><br \/>Our next option is \u2018Accept chats from.\u2019 So with tawk.to you could be associated with multiple widgets. We call them properties. So you can be associated across multiple businesses, you could have multiple widgets across different websites, and each of those widgets we can create a property for. So here are the properties I\u2019m associated with and if I didn\u2019t want to respond on behalf of one of them, then I simply just set my status to offline.<br \/><br \/>So, when you\u2019re invited to a new property, you receive an email, but you also receive a notification in the lower-left corner. Simply click on this. It says: \u201cYou have been invited to join Dashboard Demo \u2026\u201d You can either accept or reject it. And now, let\u2019s just refresh our dashboard, and you\u2019ll see we now have Dashboard Demo over here and these are all the other properties that you can access the settings for from this menu here.<br \/><br \/>As we keep working our way down the menu, I\u2019m going to come back to \u2018Edit Profile.\u2019 As you can see, this little section is all about \u2018Desktop and sound notifications\u2019 and you can simply activate\/deactivate desktop or sound notifications from this menu quite quickly. But if you want more options, just click the menu item and you can change your desktop and sound notifications and ring tones and how long, etc. \u2014 all from within here.<br \/><br \/>The next option which is relevant is \u2018Help.\u2019 So if you need help, you can start the chat with our team directly here, and you\u2019ve got access to the Help Center, our Knowledge Base, from this menu, and you can change the widget language from this menu item as well. And to log out, either simply close the browser or click the \u2018Logout\u2019 option.<br \/><br \/>In the \u2018Edit Profile\u2019 is where you can edit your account settings. Now, the first question is, about your name. Now, the name on the account is not the name that you have to respond to chats with?\u201d I\u2019ll show you. You can set up \u2018Aliases\u2019 or \u2018Avatars\u2019 that you can respond to chats with.<br \/><br \/>So, let\u2019s put my full name in here. Click \u2018Save\u2019. Here you can edit your email, or your position title. This weekly roundup gives you the statistics for the properties you\u2019re associated with. Here\u2019s where you edit your password and you can add an image to your account. Now, you can select from the avatars or you can upload your own image. Let\u2019s upload our photo. There we go \u2014 that looks lovely! Don\u2019t forget to click \u2018Save\u2019 and make sure it\u2019s compliant with the requirements at the top here. Done!<br \/><br \/>The second option down is \u2018Aliases,\u2019 so when I respond to a chat, I\u2019ve got all these options and I believe you can set up up to 20 different aliases. So my default is set as Adrian with this image and I haven\u2019t put a position title, but you\u2019ll see I have all these options available to me. So I can respond as Stephanie from Sales with this avatar and I could set that as the default status. So that means naturally when I go to answer a chat, Stephanie will be the first option available to me.<br \/><br \/>Now, in the subsequent videos, I\u2019m going to talk about shortcuts in its own video and I\u2019m going to discuss your profile page as well.
